For some of us, the idea of a harmonious family Thanksgiving dinner can be as much of a fable as the original one with the Pilgrims and Indians.
This time of year we are historically inundated with joyous, happy families celebrating in good-natured cheer. For those whose Thanksgiving dinner is served up with equal amounts of festering hurts along with their pumpkin pie, I offer comfort, love, and a peace pipe.
For those who have no family with which to share the holiday and are alone, I hold you in my thoughts.
Happy Thanksgiving to all. I am grateful to each and every one of you.
