If you are in the New York area on October 16th I am inviting the public into my home and studio for an archaeological dig into the mid-century culture.
As part of the Heckscher Museum of Arts Long Island Biennial 2022, I will be one of 5 artists participating in their Huntington Open Art Studio day on Sunday, October 16, 11am-4pm.
Take a behind-the-scenes look at all my art including my 8-foot-long, never viewed, hand-cut collages; learn about my unique process and immerse yourself in the massive collections of ephemera and vintage objects that serve as sources and inspiration for all my work.
Take a walk back and ogle at the brash colorful ads in Life Magazine, or flip your lid and flip through vintage fashions of Seventeen Magazines while you view the work.
I have long identified myself as a visual archeologist who digs deep into American mythology excavating and examining the social fictions we as a society have told ourselves over the past 80 years.
Join me as we explore together in this interactive experience.
I promise a fun afternoon.
